LATEST FRAUD ACTIVITY!
Below are examples of phisher emails and spoof sites that resemble legitimate correspondence from TraderOnline.com or Dominion Enterprises. Emails and spoof sites may include graphics and formatting that make it look official. Phisher emails will appear to be very urgent and usually threaten to close your account if the requested information is not provided in a given time frame. PLEASE NOTE: We will never ask for your password or other personal information via email. If you have posted your name, phone number, email address, etc. on the Internet (for any reason) then this could be why you received an email. If you have seen phisher emails or spoof sites similar to the examples below, please forward the email and/or link to fraud@traderonline.com. |
Account Takeovers:
If you receive an email that resembles the one shown below DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS. If you receive reports from anyone questioning your ad listing please contact the Ad Verification Team at 866.302.2218 or send an email to verify@traderonline.com for further assistance. In the email shown below hackers are enticing customers to log into their accounts by saying they (the customer) have two ads listed with different asking prices. By clicking on the link provided you are being directed to a phisher site promting you to login to your account. When you fill out the requested login information you are giving the criminal your username and password, at this time the criminal has access to your account and will login as you and change the email address, asking price, contact number, mileage and possibly your ad text. If you have responded to a email similar to this please contact the Ad Verification Team IMMEDIATELY. |
These phishers are targeting CycleTrader.com customers. CycleTrader.com will NEVER ask for any personal information via email.
CycleTrader.com does NOT provide a transaction invoice. TraderOnline.com, nor any other website owned by TraderOnline.com/Dominion Enterprises, will act as a middle man in any transaction between buyer and seller. |
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: If you receive an email directing you to click on a link that says: http://ssl-secure-cycletrader.com/mytrader.html DO NOT CLICK ON IT. This is a phisher email. The link will take you to a site that looks like the one below. If you enter your information then you will be providing a criminal with your account login and password. This will allow the criminal to hack into your account and make various changes to your ad. Please call the Ad Verification Team at 866.302.2218 if you receive an email with this link in it. |

Payment Protection Scam: This phisher claims that Dominion Enterprises offers a Purchase Protection Program. DOMINION ENTERPRISES DOES NOT OFFER A PAYMENT PROTECTION PROGRAM.
Fraudulent Buyers: Sellers please be cautious of emails that you receive with these questions. A number of sellers have reported receiving the exact same email from different email addresses. Take note of the poor punctuation.
Spoof Sites: Below are examples of the latest spoof sites. These sites claim to sell cheap equipment or act as a third-party shipping company. The sites below are FRAUDULENT, please DO NOT handle payment and/or shipping arrangements through this website.
